    Best Wine Accessories

There is no question that wine is a beloved beverage, enjoyed by people all over the world for its flavor and complexity. But what about the wine accessories that make enjoying wine even better? From stemware to decanters to preservers, there are a number of wine accessories you can use to enhance your wine-drinking experience. Here are some of the best wine accessories on the market today.  Whether you’re a beginner or an expert when it comes to wine, these wine accessories will take your drinking experience up a notch. Read on to learn more about each of them!

What do you consider the best wine accessories?

Remember, California Wines are not only great to enjoy yourself, but also to share with others.  Picking the best wine accessories can be confusing.  Do you really need all that are out there being offered?  No, but it is fun to have some of these!

Let’s take a look at a few of my favorites – what I consider the best wine accessories to use.  You have to decide if they are “must-haves”, but they are the ones that I have in my house and use.  And remember, if you are just starting out, you don’t need to buy them all at once.  Add to your collection as you can.

Below the photos and green text have links to purchase on Amazon  – these are affiliate links, meaning I may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you, if you purchase a product after clicking my link to it.  Thank you for your support – it helps support this website.

    Wine Savers

    Vacuvin

    – The Vacuvin is a life-changing product for anyone with wine storage needs. As the only person who drinks alone, I have plenty of leftover bottles to store in my fridge–but no matter how carefully you container them they’re always at risk from oxygen exposure which will cause spoilage and nasty flavors! That’s why this little gadget has been such an essential addition to my collection of wine accessories; not just does it take care of getting rid of any potential oxides while preserving flavor (aka saving money), but also helps make sure your precious wines stay fresh by keeping out unwanted refrigerator smells too!

Wine Openers – definitely one of the essential wine accessories!

Wine Opener  – I have a few different types of wine openers, but my favorite is one similar to the Vin Fresco Electric Wine opener.  It works well for me as my old hands have a hard time pulling the cork. All work well and are a personal preference.

When we are roughing it in the trailer, I have the HiCoup (waiters) professional wine opener.  It doesn’t take up much space, and doesn’t need electricity – LOL!

I have also used the wing corkscrew opener.

The Ah So ( especially when your cork strips out with one of the others).

    The vertical opener.

And one of the newer types of Wine Openers

What’s the deal with Coravin? Well, it’s an innovative way to enjoy your favorite wines. All you have to do is put in a needle and drain all of those good flavors right into one glass! It really does change everything – no more wasting money by buying bottles that will go bad before we can drink them- just get hooked up on this nifty device- wine by the glass from Coravin!!!  And thanks to my daughter and son-in-law, this is my new favorite!

More of the best wine accessories to own!

Wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike know that the perfect wine is only made better with the perfect accessories. Whether you’re looking for an aerator, thermometer, wine glassware, or something else, Amazon has all the best wine accessories to take your tasting experience to the next level.  A wine aerator is a functional wine-pouring accessory.  Open up the aromas of your wine and keep the sediment in the bottle and out of your glass with these. Pouring your wine through this helps aerate the wine, which releases different flavors.  More wineries are not filtering their wines as much, so this helps with catching the sediment also.  When drinking red wine, this is also one of the must-have wine accessories.

Wine Decanter – Some better red wines can benefit from decanting them ahead of time to let them breathe.  There are so many choices in decanters – from just functional to extremely cool looking (also functional).

Wine Racks and Cabinets – While it is best to store your wine long-term in a wine fridge, it is fun to display some of your wines.  These are good for short-term storage or to show off your good taste in wine.  These can be as simple as a rack to store a few bottles, to one that is a complete bar.  Wine rack kits are also available.

Another important accessory is proper wine glassware. While traditional wine glasses are always a great option, also available is an array of specialty glassware designed to enhance the flavor and complexity of certain wines. You can find everything from Burgundy glasses to sparkling wine flutes, to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your wine.  Wine tastes so much better when served in a good wine glass. There are glasses for each type of wine.  Now if you are the average wine drinker, you may only have red, white, and champagne glasses.

But if you are a true wine connoisseur, you might want to invest in more.  Riedel can be on the pricier side, but they are nice glasses.  Now you also can choose the traditional stemmed wine glass or the stemless one.  I still prefer the stemmed glasses, as your hands don’t warm the wine when you hold them.  But as with everything, it is a personal preference.

Now, this is not always an option, such as when you are out on the patio.  There are quite a variety of glasses – from extremely inexpensive plastic (which scratches easily) to better quality unbreakable glasses.

    More Fun Wine Accessories

    Wine Glass Charms

    – A great wine glass accessory! Ever have a party and people can’t figure out whose glass is whose?  These solve this issue by marking each glass differently than the others.  And there are so many fun choices to match the theme of your party!  I think I need these for my beach-themed back patio!

    Wine Bottle Tags

    – There are great to mark anything special on the bottles you store.  Who gave you the wine, winemakers’ suggestions on when to drink, and what the occasion was when you bought.  You would think at the time that you would remember all of this, but trust me, having the tags can be a life-saver!

Wine Fridge – These come in many sizes and prices.  It is very important to store your wine at the proper temperature.  Especially if you plan on storing it for a while before drinking.  Remember, your house’s “room temperature” is not a good wine storage temperature.
